We are sad to report the passing of BC writer W. P.
“Bill” Kinsella, who is best known for his novel Shoeless Joe,
which was later adapted for the movie Field of Dreams.
Kinsella has authored a number of literary works,
including novels, short fiction collections, poetry, baseball plays, and
non-fiction books.
Kinsella fans can take comfort in knowing that his
legacy will continue to grow. According to Kinsella’s website, a new collection
of linked stories called Russian Dolls will be published by Coteau Books
in fall 2017.
